Last year's Gallery Night was a huge success! People are still talking about how much fun they had or how sorry they are they missed it! The event officially starts at 5:30 but don't worry, the YPE trolley circles back to pick up latecomers!

Never heard of Gallery night? We're shocked...but here's the scoop... Beautiful summer night in Evanston, fun transportation by trolley, interesting people to meet and see inspiring artwork at four venues exhibiting Evanston Art. Each venue graciously hosts us with drinks & appetizers while expanding on their art collection and business. First gallery stop is FolkWorks Gallery... then onto Eve J. Alfille Gallery & Studio, Mary & Leigh Block Museum of Art at Northwestern University and the last stop is the fabulous architecturally designed Excel Lofts.

Cutting edge architecture meets Art Nouveau craftsmanship at the Excel Lofts, 1611 Simpson, Renaissance Realty’s latest work in progress in Evanston’s hot Arts District. Local artists will exhibit their work in the gallery tour’s finale where you’ll have time to linger for wine, hors d’oeuvres and leisurely networking. Catered by Boocoo Cafe.

We've had some pretty great quotes from the media, but you can also find what people who have purchased the book have to say about it online at various places like Amazon. Add your voices there and we'll feature them in this space in the next issue of the newsletter!

From Amazon Reader's -

"Those who have read and admired Steven E. Ambrose's "Undaunted Courage" will be moved by this photographic depiction of Lewis and Clark's Journey of Exploration. The photography is incredibly vivid, and romantically evokes the magic of the western American landscape. A masterful piece of work."

A true journey and labor of love. Mr. Mack captures the beauty, serenity, and majesty of our country and shares with us the magic of that courageous expedition. A brilliant concept, captured by a gifted photographer!

From the Media -

"The Lewis and Clark Trail: American Landscapes is a 256-page full-color slab of a book. It's a rapturous representation of the American landscape, seen both in grand wide-angle vistas and in the surfaces of wildflowers and water. It's a book that John Muir would've liked."

"A beautiful book of photographs of the Lewis & Clark Trail"

"Nobody else has done this book... A fabulous and beautiful book about photography & history."

"This book is absolutely gorgeous!"

"This is one of the best books on the trail. Richard's photography makes you feel like you are right on the trail with Lewis & Clark!"

"The Land as the captains viewed it... This handsome book's price tag reflects its exceptional production values."

"A serene and beautiful book!"
